    The "By-product Harmless Treatment Project" invested and constructed by MCC New Energy is the result of a national-level solid waste recycling special key research topic-"Nickel Cobalt/Tungsten/Antimony Strategic Metallurgical Solid Waste Clean Extraction and Harmless Technology" The realized industrialization project is the first domestic nickel and cobalt solid waste treatment production line, which provides a model for enterprises in the same industry to dispose of by-product slag on their own. This project uses the by-products produced in the first and second phases of the MCC New Materials Project and the waste battery recycling project as raw materials, and mainly processes the acid-base leaching by-products, calcium-containing by-products, and water-treatment carbon-containing by-products produced by the production system. Water treatment filtration by-products, scandium system by-products, the total processing capacity is 50173t/a (wet basis). The project adopts the steam drying-rotary kiln-electric furnace process to convert the by-products into nickel matte, glassy water quenching slag and desulfurized gypsum, which can produce nickel and cobalt products 2007t/a and glassy electric furnace by-products 15555t/a (dry basis). Realize the reduction, resource utilization, and harmless recycling of by-products, which can effectively treat the self-produced slag of MCC New Energy, and will provide solid waste disposal services for related waste-producing enterprises.

    Since the start of construction on March 25, 2020, in the face of the shortage of personnel and materials caused by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and the many difficulties faced by winter construction, MCC New Energy has mobilized and established a project team to closely cooperate with the construction unit. Overcome difficulties, actively coordinated, arranged rationally, and grasped the construction period. Successfully completed the construction, equipment installation, single linkage test run, safety operation training for all employees, oven drying kiln, trial production and optimization of system production control technology. Improve. The project was officially put into production on June 22, 2021, and the first nickel-cobalt product was officially produced on July 15, 2021. During the trial production period, the by-product harmless treatment project has reached the designed capacity, with a total of 5,500 tons of by-product slag processed, and the nickel content of nickel-cobalt products is as high as 25%, and the product quality is better than the design index. Electric furnace glassy slag and by-product gypsum slag are sold as qualified products.

    Through the two-month trial production period, the entire production process of the by-product workshop of MCC New Energy has been opened up, the equipment is operating well, the professional technical level and business ability of employees have been significantly improved, and the formal production conditions have been established, and the production and operation period is expected to be 10 In the middle of this month, all existing piles of slag in MCC New Energy can be disposed of.
